The Studio One XLR Connectors have been part of Abbey Road history for decades. Installed in Studio One circa 2000, these very connectors were designed to carry shielded, balanced audio signals to reduce interference from external electromagnetic induction and ensure superior sound quality.

The A, B & C Line XLR Connectors featured in this paperweight are from Studio One Live Room, the main recording space. Integral to countless film, game and artist sessions, these connectors were fixed throughout the studio, providing the essential link between music, microphone and mixing desk.

In film scoring, they were used frequently for the Decca Tree - a structure which suspends three omnidirectional microphones such as Neumann M50s above the orchestra, capturing the overall sound as if from the conductor’s perspective.

Now, carefully preserved and reimagined, it has been transformed into a timeless piece of memorabilia for you to treasure.

Each XLR Connector is encased in flawless resin and individually engraved as a limited edition. The paperweight is handcrafted within the UK for a crystal clear, meticulous finish.  The UV filters within the resin will stop any colour fading and carefully preserve details of the connector.
